FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to otorhinolaryngology, and can be used for determination of degree of rhinosinusitis severity. Essence of method: patient with rhinosinusitis is examined and additionally before beginning treatment levels of cytokines of interleukin 1β (IL-1β) and interleukin - 10 (IL-10), are determined in pg/ml in patient's blood serum, ratio IL-1β/IL-10 is calculated with accuracy to 0.1. If ratio value is lower than 1.3, light degree of rhinosinusitis severity is determined; if value is from 1.3 to 5.5 including - medium degree of rhinosinusitis severity; if value is higher than 5.5 - severe degree of rhinosinusitis.
EFFECT: application of the method ensures increased efficiency of determination of degree of rhinosinusitis severity due to application of objective estimation criteria, which allow clear, fast and unambiguous determination of degree of rhinosinusitis severity.
