FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for counting the position of an element moved by a flexible rod of a brachytherapeutic apparatus. Device includes a housing with an angular position sensor located therein, including a shaft and a counting roller configured to transmit torque to the shaft, and a pressure roller configured to press the flexible rod to the counting roller and connected to the pressure roller drive. Device has a first element presence sensor located in the housing along the movement of the element to the pressure and counting rollers, and a second element presence sensor located in the housing in the direction of movement of the element after the counting and pressure rollers, connected to a drive for moving the pressure roller. Proposed device comprises pressure roller position sensor arranged in housing and connected to pressure roller drive. Axes of rotation of pressure and counting rollers are located in one plane.
EFFECT: high accuracy of reading the position of an element moved with the help of a flexible rod.
