FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a discharger for a gas-filled cascade generator. Discharger comprises electrodes with variable interelectrode gap, wherein electrodes are fixed on insulating elements and are located in gas medium of generator. One of the insulating elements is a dielectric housing, and the other is a conical hollow insulator fixed by its large base in the inner cavity of the housing by means of a threaded connection. First electrode is installed on the smaller base of the conical insulator, the second electrode is fixed on the inner end protrusion of the housing. In addition, in the housing wall perpendicular to its axis uniformly along the circumference there are four holes located opposite the interelectrode gap, for fixing the given position of the hollow conical insulator, also in the housing there are two radial threaded holes in which dielectric screws are located, between the screws and the conical insulator there are inserts from elastic dielectric material.

EFFECT: longer life of discharger due to compensation of temperature changes and possibility of rapid adjustment of interelectrode gap while maintaining reliable fixation of adjusting elements.
