BRIDGE CONNECTION WITH EMBANKMENT Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC E01D19/02 

FIELD: bridge building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bridge building and can be used in construction of bridges and overpasses on motor roads. Bridge with embankment connection includes approach embankment with armoured soil part and prefabricated facing wall in zone of connection with bridge, extreme support of bridge with backwall, approach slabs are inclined towards the approach embankment, their one end resting on the support backwall and the other one – on the armoured soil part of the approach embankment. On the surface of the approach plate of the armoured soil part of the approach embankment along its entire width and the prefabricated facing wall on a part of its width outside the approach plate, as well as on the end surface of the armoured soil part of the approach embankment, a waterproof film membrane is laid with a slope towards the approach embankment and is led by its ends into a tray filled with drainage soil, located across the axis of the bridge with a slope and extending to the intersection with the surface of the slope of the approach embankment.

EFFECT: higher reliability and durability of bridge with embankment connection due to elimination of water and soil permeability due to exclusion of water ingress into body and base of armoured soil part of approach embankment.
