SUBSTANCE: compositions for producing protective coatings on graphite electrodes, used in metallurgy and in industries where graphite products are used. Composition for obtaining a protective coating on graphite electrodes, the components of which are, wt.%: ferroalloy powder containing carbide-forming materials 30-95 wt.% 5-50, titanium dioxide 5-30, binder, polyvinyl acetate dispersion - the rest.
EFFECT: increasing the heat resistance (that is, resistance to oxidation at high temperatures) of protective coatings for graphite electrodes.
