DOUBLE-ELECTRODE STRING LABORATORY WAVE RECORDER Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01F23/24

Abstract RU 2817724 C1

FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: use for measurement of amplitude and time parameters of waves arising as a result of simulation of water breakthrough models of dams in small-scale laboratory installations. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that the two-electrode string laboratory wave recorder is made of two non-oxidisable metal strings fixed on a dielectric base, is a primary transducer for measuring wave height, includes a constant voltage power supply, a resistor and a recording device, wherein the wave recorder is installed vertically into the water by the plane of the strings perpendicularly along the wave front, and the distance between the strings decreases linearly along the height, wherein the measured signal used is a change in the electric voltage occurring on the strings immersed in water.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining wave parameters.
