Method for determining the dependence of the height of a liquid surface on time or slopes of waves by measuring the height of immersion of strings in a liquid, in which the strings are hydrophilic, illuminated with a third-party local light source, and the height of the liquid surface is recorded based on the position of light glares reflected from the meniscus on the strings.

EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring height of interface between liquid and air.
