FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method for assessing the severity of a patient’s condition is carried out using a multifunctional monitor for recording vital signs of the patient at the pre-hospital stage, assessing the severity of the patient’s condition, and predicting changes in the patient’s condition in the course of medical activities. Monitor consists of a plastic shock-resistant housing, in which a projection-capacitive screen, a digital video camera and a microphone, a memory unit, a processor, a communication module with a remote server, a battery pack are placed, as well as connectors for connection of sensors for measurement of ECG, heart rate, SpO2 and temperature body. Monitor includes a primary diagnostic program unit for determining a severity index of the patient's condition and generating a probabilistic prediction of the onset of a lethal outcome with a medical electronic record function according to form 100. Vital signs of the patient are collected, recorded, and transmitted in real time. Complete medical history is recorded, and a telemedicine conference is conducted. Condition severity index is automatically assessed, its changes and patient’s survival rate at the stage of primary diagnostics and during transportation are predicted.

EFFECT: higher probability of patient’s survival is achieved by assessing the severity index, which enables to take more adequate life support measures.
