SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and can be used in breeding cats. Disclosed is a method for predicting total bacterial contamination of freshly obtained cat sperm, which consists in the fact that when observing blood group A or blood group B in cats, the level of total bacterial contamination of freshly obtained sperm is predicted to 3,500 CFU/cm3, if observing blood group AB in cats, the level of total bacterial contamination of freshly obtained sperm is predicted from 3,500 to 12,000 CFU/cm3.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to predict the level of total bacterial contamination of freshly obtained cat sperm due to determination of immunogenetic characteristics of blood groups.
