SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, particularly to transfusion, and is used for cryopreservation and preparation of erythrocytes for transfusion. What is presented is a device for erythrocyte cryopreservation, comprising a container for erythrocytes connected by tubes with polymer needles for attachment to containers with solutions. Container for erythrocyte cryopreservation is connected by a tube with a clamp to the first branch pipe of the first quadruple. Second branch pipes of the first and second quadruples are connected by a tube with a clamp. Their third branch pipes are connected by a tube with a clamp and a check valve, between which a bacterial filter is installed. Fourth branch pipe of the first quadruple is connected by a tube of the cryoprotector line with a T-joint, to which two tubes are connected, each of which ends with a polymer needle and has a clamp. Bacterial filter is installed on one of the tubes between the clamp and the T-piece. Fourth nozzle of the second quadruple is connected by a tube with a clamp to a Luer-lock connector, and its first nozzle is connected by a tube with a clamp to a polymer needle. Also described is a method of using said device.

EFFECT: preservation of quality of erythrocytes prepared for transfusion and reduction of probability of their microbial contamination are achieved.
