FIELD: applied ecology; biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for removal of radionuclides from natural and waste water, as well as for restoration of lands and agricultural lands exposed to radioactive contamination. Described is a sorbent for removing radionuclides from natural and waste water, which is low-layer graphene, obtained as a result of treatment of plant mass of stems and leaves of Sosnowsky's hogweed by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis.
EFFECT: optimization of a set of technological processes of obtaining a sorbent, use of cheap and readily available raw material and improvement of sorption properties of the obtained sorbent.
