FIELD: oculography.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for calibrating in oculography. Method involves the following steps: starting an oculography function; if the user has selected the interaction mode, which is the interaction mode without determining the coordinates of the gaze point, then the background calibration method is started; when performing the background calibration method, information on the parameters of the user's eyes is received; location coordinates are obtained and calibration point coordinates are set equal to location coordinates, wherein coordinates of a place are obtained when determining coordinates in an interaction mode without determining coordinates of a gaze point; and the current personal calibration coefficient of the user is calculated according to the information on the eye parameters and the coordinates of the calibration point.

EFFECT: high accuracy of background calibration during oculography, hidden from the user, without the need to exit the current scenario to perform calibration.
