FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used to assess the degree of malignancy of intraepithelial involvement of squamous epithelium of uterus. Before the excisional biopsy, the biomaterial is sampled by liquid cytology to isolate microRNA, and a molecular genetic study is carried out to determine the expression of microRNA markers mir-21 (x2) and mir-20a (x1). Degree of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) is determined based on the Fisher linear discriminant functions: f1=2.54x1+5.74x2-2.94, f2=2.65x1+1.65x2-2.37, f3=3.34x1-2.14x2-2.94, where f1 – CIN1, f2 – CIN2, f3 – CIN3. If f1>f2>f3, CIN1 is determined and intraepithelial lesions of squamous epithelium of low degree of malignancy are evaluated. If f2>f3>f1, CIN2 is determined and intraepithelial lesions of squamous epithelium of high degree of malignancy are evaluated. If f3>f2>f1, CIN3 is determined and high-grade intraepithelial squamous epithelium is evaluated.
EFFECT: method enables assessing the severity of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia by determining the expression level of microRNA mir-21 and mir-20a.
