FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to obstetrics and gynecology. In the venous blood of a patient with a low-grade cervical intraepithelial lesion associated with a high carcinogenic risk human papilloma virus, folic acid concentration is determined once by chemiluminescent immunoassay on microparticles. If its level is less than 3.1 ng/ml, a high risk of progression of low-grade cervical squamous cell intraepithelial lesion is predicted.
EFFECT: method is easy to implement, has high reliability and predictive accuracy, and also enables prediction in the near future after diagnosis of LSIL, which promotes early beginning of pathogenetic therapy and prevention of progression of cervical intraepithelial lesions of low degree.
