MARINE DIESEL ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC B63H11/09 F01P3/22

Abstract RU 2818210 C1

FIELD: diesel engine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to marine diesel engines cooling systems and can be used on diesel plants of river and sea transport. Marine diesel engine cooling system comprises in-series connected internal circuit pump, heater, diesel engine, as well as two thermometers, one of which is connected to the diesel engine input, and the other to the output of the diesel engine, an expansion tank, external circuit pump and steam-and-water collector. Steam-water manifold comprises a main valve, a blowdown valve, a pressure sensor and a water level sensor, as well as in-series connected desuperheater with seawater circuit, which input is connected to external circuit pump output, wherein the inlet of the desuperheater is connected to the outlet of the main valve, a hot well, a feed pump and a level valve, the outlet of which is connected to the feed water inlet of the steam-and-water collector, as well as a filling valve, the input of which is connected to the output of the expansion tank, and the output is connected to the input of the hot well, in addition, it contains a control unit, the first, second and third inputs of which are connected to a pressure sensor, a water level sensor and a vacuum output of a steam-and-water collector, and its control output is connected to the control input of the level valve. Inlet of the pump of the internal circuit is connected to the outlet of the steam-and-water collector, and the outlet of the diesel engine is connected to the inlet of heated water of the steam-and-water collector.

EFFECT: reduced power of the pump in the internal cooling circuit of the diesel engine is achieved, thereby providing an increase in the efficiency of the marine diesel engine.
