TRANSCRANIAL BRAIN STIMULATOR Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61N1/36 A61B5/291

Abstract RU 2818466 C1

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device for transcranial electrical stimulation of the brain comprises a pulse monopolar current signal generator, the output of which is connected to a first electrode, and a second electrode, as well as a unit of electrodes for taking brain biopotentials, an electroencephalogram analyzer, a Bluetooth transmitting unit, a smartphone, a Bluetooth receiving unit, a digital potentiometer. Signal generator is configured to supply a pulsed monopolar current with frequency of 77 Hz and an amplitude value of current of 3 mA to the first electrode. Electrode unit for brain biopotential reading comprises three electrodes for installation in ear leads A1, A2 and frontal lead Fz according to system "10–20". Electrodes are connected by shielded cable to electroencephalogram analyzer, which is configured to pre-filter and amplify brain biopotentials and convert an analogue signal into a digital signal for further processing. Smartphone is configured to analyze the alpha rhythm by amplitude and transmit a control feedback signal wirelessly to a Bluetooth receiving unit. Digital potentiometer is configured to supply pulse stimulating current to the second electrode, value of which depends on the amplitude value of the alpha rhythm of the electroencephalogram and varies from 3 to 30 mA.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of treatment with simultaneous increase of safety of procedures with provision of electric current signals, spectrum of which is similar to the electromagnetic spectrum of the human brain, which can regulate human brain activity in order to optimize the psychoemotional state.
