SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a sealing electrosurgical instrument for sealing and dissecting vessels. Electrosurgical instrument for sealing and dissecting vessels comprises a first jaw, a second jaw, a cartridge seat and a knife cartridge. First jaw on the distal end has the first part of the sealing working member. Second jaw is installed relative to the first jaw with the possibility of rotation and has the second part of the sealing working member at the distal end. Seat of the cassette is made to accommodate the knife cartridge. Knife cartridge is installed in the cartridge seat with possibility of its removal and has a housing covering the inner space, and a knife having at least one cutting edge and a coupling device for connection to a drive device and movably mounted with possibility of movement from a first position, in which the cutting edge is located in the inner space, into the second position, in which the cutting edge is located outside the body of the knife cartridge. Knife cartridge is the only part detachable from the instrument. Knife cartridge and parts of the working member are separate from each other, not rigidly connected to each other units.

EFFECT: use of the invention enables to replace the knife in a simple and safe manner for participating personnel.
