SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for monitoring the state of cutting tools of machining equipment. Complex contains acoustic emission sensors and alarm module containing acoustic emission signals preliminary processing unit, an analogue-to-digital conversion unit for acoustic emission signals, an acoustic emission signal analysis unit, and an output unit. Unit for analysing acoustic emission signals contains an element which determines the percentage of wear of the cutting tool by the level of amplitude of the acoustic emission signal arising during operation of the cutting tool, and transmits this information to the output unit.

EFFECT: possibility of timely obtaining of information on dynamics of state of cutting tool and on approach of tool wear degree to critical value.
