FIELD: metallurgy of non-ferrous metals.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of multifunctional light alloys based on aluminum. Method for electrolytic production of aluminum alloys with yttrium using an oxygen-releasing anode, involving electrolysis of a fluoride-oxide melt KF-NaF-AlF3-Al2O3-Y2O3 in an open reactor with a vertically arranged anode and a cathode, electrolysis is carried out at temperature of 750 to 820 °C, anode current density of 0.3 to 0.6 A/cm2, note here that graphite cathode with boride coating and low-consumption anode of pre-oxidised metal alloy based on Fe-Ni-Cu system are used.
EFFECT: simplifying the design of the reactor for producing alloys of aluminum with yttrium while eliminating consumption of graphite and release of greenhouse gases, as well as low temperature.
