SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipeline transport. Method involves movement of the polyurethane foam piston in the dried cavity of the pipeline and interpretation of the results obtained when the foam polyurethane piston comes out of the pipeline. First, the polyurethane foam piston is equipped with containers installed on the front and rear walls of the foam polyurethane piston, with a dry silica gel-indicator placed in the said containers. After the polyurethane foam piston comes out of the pipeline, as a result of visual monitoring of the colour change intensity of the silica gel-indicator placed in the containers, taking into account the installation location of the containers, conclusion is made on quality of pipeline drying and a decision is made on continuation or completion of drying.
EFFECT: high efficiency of evaluating the quality of drying of the pipeline cavity, as well as higher safety.
