FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: present technical solution relates to computer engineering. CAN device and test equipment (TE) for it are developed. Using the developed TE, CAN messages are generated and sent to the developed device (DD) according to the following algorithm: for the first time – the first message which does not contain errors; second time – second message, with generated error of arbitrary bits; third time – again first message, which does not contain errors. Then the CAN DD state is controlled by the following criteria, after each message sent above: first time – acknowledgment of reception; second time – absence of acknowledgment and presence of error frame; third time – acknowledgment of reception. CAN DD is considered to have passed the test if it meets all three criteria. If CAN DD does not meet at least one criterion, then CAN DD is modified and tests and control are repeated.
EFFECT: high reliability of the CAN developed device (DD).
