FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: result is achieved due to method of development of on-board electronic devices (OED) of spacecrafts (SC) on the basis of tests with application of target units of equipment description, which consists in development of OED. Further, on the hardware of the programmable logic integrated circuit (PLIC), a sound model of the developed OED is developed, which imitates the behaviour of its input-output channels. A series of experiments is carried out on the developed model to simulate emergency situations with deliberate introduction of faults in order to determine the correct functioning of algorithms and survivability means built into the developed electronic equipment. If algorithms and survivability means operate correctly, then the developed OED is transferred to standard operation as part of the spacecraft. If algorithms and means of providing survivability do not work correctly, then the developed OED is modified by correcting the detected faults. Iterations of control and modifications are repeated until the developed device functions completely correctly.
EFFECT: increasing the level of reliability of on-board electronic devices of spacecraft.
