FIELD: various technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of articles from carbon-silicon carbide composite materials operating in oxidising gas flows, in abrasive-containing gas and liquid flows under conditions of considerable mechanical loads. Method of making articles from carbon-silicon carbide composite material, including those with thickness gradient properties, includes making a preform based on carbon fibres, compaction thereof with a carbon matrix using a pyrocarbon saturation process by a thermal gradient method with endowing obtained workpiece from carbon-carbon composite material with homogeneous or thickness-gradient properties and its siliconising by vapor-liquid phase method. Prior to saturation of the preform with pyrocarbon by thermal gradient method, carbon nanotubes are grown in its pores, and this is carried out in a single technological process with its saturation with pyrocarbon. Immediately before siliconising the workpiece from the carbon-carbon composite material, carbon nanotubes can be grown in its pores.

EFFECT: improved operational properties of articles made from carbon-silicon carbide composite material without considerable complication of the method and longer duration of their production.
