FIELD: power supply systems of railways.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power supply systems of railways with transverse capacitive compensation devices for reactive power compensation in traction network. To this end, disclosed is a method of controlling power of a static generator of reactive power SVG of a section of a traction network with electric rolling stock rectifiers, based on smooth adjustment of SVG to compensate reactive power depending on the value of the third harmonic of current in traction network. In the method, a sectionalization voltage transformer and a SVG current transformer are used to measure harmonic components of current and voltage and a third harmonic of voltage of the traction network sectioning station busbar is selected, on which uncompensated third harmonic of traction network current is determined by dividing third voltage of buses of sectioning station into input resistance of sectioning station, it is summed up with third-harmonic current generated by SVG to produce third harmonic of uncompensated traction network, which is divided by ratio of currents of third and first harmonics of current of uncompensated traction network, and determining the first harmonic SVG generated current to compensate the reactive power of the traction network by controlling SVG power.
EFFECT: invention objective is to increase accuracy of SVG power control to increase efficiency of reduction of power losses in traction network.
