FIELD: heat engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering and can be used in devices for cooling water (liquids) at various heat-and-power facilities, for example, for air conditioning systems. Invention consists in creation of more energy-efficient environmentally friendly rotary water cooler (RWC), in which inside the rotor rotating at a peripheral speed of more than 300 m/s and surrounded by a casing, a vacuum is formed, which contributes to the water boiling (cooling) temperature of less than 10 °C.
EFFECT: increase of energy efficiency (COP) and specific cooling capacity of RWC, reduction of parasitic entrainment of cooled drop moisture from the rotor cavity, which is achieved by arrangement of separate collection and removal of cooled water and steam together with steam condensate outside the RWC, for this purpose two separate chambers are formed in the rotor cavity.
