SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for cooling water or other liquids in various heat power facilities, for example for air conditioning systems. Aerodynamic water cooler contains a rotating hollow rotor divided into main and additional sections made in the form of straight circular cylinders with plugged outer and inner circular end walls, layer of water on inner surface of its main section equipped with inlet holes for warm water on rotor shaft, cooled water outlets on the surface of the main portion and outlets for steam and accompanying fine droplets directed to an additional portion provided with inlet and outlet openings for steam and accompanying fine droplets, casing arranged around rotor outer surface, forming main cooled water collection chamber equipped with outlet branch pipe, and additional chamber arranged above section of rotor surface for collection of steam and accompanying fine droplets and equipped with outlet nozzles, and frame, at that, the rotor sections are made separate, are equipped with independent drives and end walls with central holes, between which a sealed channel is formed for the steam and accompanying small drops movement from the main rotor section to the additional one, wherein additional section of rotor is rotated at peripheral speed of outer surface of more than 300 m/s.
EFFECT: higher energy efficiency and specific refrigeration capacity of continuous-action AWC.
