METHOD FOR SURGICAL MANAGEMENT OF PROLONGED SUBRETINAL HAEMORRHAGE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61F9/07

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for surgical treatment of prolonged subretinal haemorrhage. That is ensured by subtotal vitrectomy. Retinotomy is performed above the haemorrhage in the lower part of the retina in the region of the equator. Then the flap of the detached retina is turned over and placed on the upper retina. Thereafter, the liquid fraction of the subretinal haemorrhage is evacuated. Blood clot is moved from the subretinal space to the upper retina. Retinal flap is returned to its original position. Tamponade of the vitreal cavity is performed with a solution of a perfluoroorganic compound, on which a clot of subretinal haemorrhage is raised to an iris. Then vitreotome is fragmented at 1500 cuts per minute and dissected fragments are removed. Obtained by using the proposed method, the technical result consists in increasing the efficiency of the performed operation due to the possibility of removing the long existing subretinal fibrin clots, as a result of their lifting to the iris on a solution of a perfluoroorganic compound, and then fragmentation and removal with the help of a vitreotome at a cutting frequency of 1500 per minute.

EFFECT: invention provides higher efficiency of the performed operation due to the possibility of removing long-term extensive subretinal fibrin clots.
