FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out three-port vitrectomy with posterior hyaloid membrane being completely removed. Retinotomy is carried out in upper half of eye fundus to 180°. Retina is turned aside and neovascular membrane is removed. Flap is cut out from pigmented epithelium of retina and choroidea in upper segment of the eye fundus in equator zone. The flap is separated from sclera and placed under the retina in foveola area. Retina is laid back to its place over the flap and pressed against vascular tunic with perfluororganic compound. Endolaser retinopexy is carried out, the perfluororganic compound is removed and substituted with silicon oil. Sutures are placed over sclera and conjunctiva.

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; improved metabolism processes in macula; reduced risk of proliferative vitreoretinopathy and retina detachment; improved vision function.
