FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, particularly to a method for diagnosing chromosomal mosaicism. Method is intended for diagnosing chromosomal mosaicism in patients with disturbed formation and functioning of the reproductive system by vaginal epithelium by fluorescent in situ hybridisation (FISH) with DNA probes, complementary to centromeric sequences of sex chromosomes. Said method involves the following steps: collecting a scraping smear from the lateral wall of the vagina at depth of 3.0 cm behind the hymenal ring with a disposable urogenital probe and application on a clean dry slide, followed by air drying with further examination of vaginal epithelium by fluorescent in situ hybridisation (FISH) with DNA probes complementary to centromeric sequences of sex chromosomes.
EFFECT: present invention provides a complex one-step, accurate, fast, non-invasive diagnostic technique for chromosomal mosaicism in patients with disorders of the development and functioning of the reproductive system.
