SUBSTANCE: method for determining interphase chromosome structure involves producing a sample containing cells and having at least one chromosome for determining the structure. A system of various DNA probes specific to human chromosomes and chromosome sites is produced with said DNA probes containing various marks and are able to mark at least one normal control chromosome from said at least one interphase chromosome for determining the structure of substantially lengthwise uniform normal control chromosome. Said sample with said DNA probes is hybridised. There is used a system of enzymes, antibodies and substrates for detecting specifically coloured segments of said chromosomes for colorimetric analysis of said sample. The visual analysis is used to determine the structure of said chromosome.
EFFECT: invention enables determining the chromosome structure and detecting various cytogenetic abnormalities.
