FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electronics, controlled optics, micromechanics, medicine, aerospace engineering. Piezoactuator of bending type is an elastic flexible bimorph two-layer rod with rectangular cross section and includes two interconnected piezoelectric plates and control electrodes. Polarization of the layers and the arrangement of the electrodes are such that when the control voltage is connected to the electrodes, the axial stretching/compression deformations of the piezoelectric bimorph layers are different only by sign, as a result of which there is a working stroke of bending displacements in the longitudinal plane of the bimorph rod. Bimorph two-layer rod has curvilinear longitudinal axis with initial radius of curvature in vertical longitudinal plane, polarization and arrangement of electrodes are such that when connected to electrodes of control voltage in plane of layers there are transverse with different sign axial tensile/compression stresses of piezoelectric bimorph layers with formation of active moment, bending two-layer cross-section of bimorph rod in transverse plane. When connected to electrodes of control electric voltage working stroke of bending displacements in the longitudinal plane of the bimorph rod occurs indirectly through implementation of controlled piezoelectric bending in transverse plane of profile of two-layer cross section of bimorph rod and subsequent transition to new form of its equilibrium state.
EFFECT: invention significantly increases efficiency of the piezoelectric actuator, id est increase sensitivity and range of controlled bending deformations.
