SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of double sodium silicate and yttrium, which can be used as solid-state electrolyte material in sodium ion batteries, as well as a matrix for luminophores in light sources. Method of producing sodium-yttrium silicates Na5YSi4O12 involves thermal treatment of a solution of precursors containing sodium, yttrium and silicate. Yttrium oleate, sodium oleate, tetraethoxysilane are used in molar ratio Na:Y:Si =(5.75–6):1:4. Mixture of precursors is dissolved at 60–70 °C in benzene, toluene or rosin solution in ethyl alcohol until evaporation of solvent, then it is subjected to annealing at 1,000–1,100 °C for 0.5–1 h.
EFFECT: invention simplifies production of double silicate of sodium and yttrium.
