SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to reconstructive plastic thoracic surgery. Interpolated skin-fascial flap is cut out on the anterior surface of the chest wall from the side of the lesion of the sternoclavicular joint, which is located projection above the region of the sternoclavicular joint and the body of the clavicle in the direction from the parasternal region from the side of the lesion to the deltoid region. De-epidermisation of the free edge of the skin-fascial flap is performed. Clavicle body is wrapped through its proximal edge so that the flap edge coincides with the border of the proximal middle one-third of the clavicle body. Its free edge is sutured transosseously to an inner surface of a body part of the clavicle. Rotational flap of a greater pectoral muscle is cut out from a clavicular portion of a greater pectoral muscle. Defect of the sternum handle and the sternal end of the clavicle is tamponade by fixing the free edge of the flap of the greater pectoral muscle transosseously along the edges of the defect.

EFFECT: method enables eliminating deep defects of the sternoclavicular joint, manubrium of sternum and clavicle body resulting from sternomediastinitis of various aetiologies; eliminate paradoxical breathing resulting from pendulum-like air movement between the formed defect of the chest wall and the environment, and manifested by persistent pain syndrome and respiratory failure syndrome, restore the support function of the clavicle and the motor function of the upper extremity.
