FIELD: engines; shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship rotary screw propellers (RSP) intended for movement on water, on surface of ice cover with provision of exit of Arctic amphibious vehicle (AAV) from water onto ice surface. Rotary-screw propulsion unit for the arctic amphibious vehicle consists of hollow cylindrical floats with lead and aft conical parts made in the form of a truncated cone, and with a solid helical surface in the form of a helical line along the longitudinal axis of the floats, having enveloping spirals along the outer surface of the floats. On the conical part of the lead-in cone of the rotary screw propulsion unit floats there are additional short starts of the screw line with transition to the float cylinder. On the conical part of the aft cone of the floats of the rotary screw propulsion unit there is also an additional short start of the screw line with a transition to the cylinder of the floats.
EFFECT: increase in the traction force developed by the rotary screw propulsion unit during the movement of the Arctic amphibious vehicle is achieved, as well as ensuring the efficiency and strength of the AAV.
