FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to plastic surgery. Nasal septum is resected in an inferior posterior portion using a Killian approach. Cartilage is resected according to the Cottle. Bed is formed along the central line of the face at the base of the piriform aperture and in the area of the upper jaw spine. After rotation of the nasal septum in the caudal direction in the area of contact between the maxillary spine and the nasal septum, an oval or L-shaped portion in septum 3 mm wide and 4 mm high is cut out. Cut-out section of the partition is installed in the formed bed according to the principle of a slot joint. Nasal septum is sutured at three points: to a periosteum within a nasal anterior spine of the upper jaw, to a cartilaginous flap in the caudal portion of the septum, in a lower posterior portion within a crest of the nasal septum. Blanket suture is applied on the septum with fixation to the mucous membrane.

EFFECT: method allows performing closed preserving rhinoplasty according to Let Down/Push Down technology, avoiding recurrence of hump, preventing the need for repeat operations.
