FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. An ellipsoid skin incision 3 mm high and 7 mm long is made perpendicular to the epicanthus in the area of the inner corner of the eye. A portion of the fibrotic skin is resected within the boundaries of the incision, then the excess subcutaneous tissues between the skin and the anterior branch of the medial ligament of the eyelids are excised sharply, incision edges are adapted to deeper tissues by U-sutures without tension from the surrounding skin. Then, on the posterior surface of the ear, a blade is used to make a skin incision corresponding in shape to the formed skin defect in the area of the inner corner of the eye. Free full-thickness skin flap is cut out with scissors, which is laid in the area of ellipsoid skin incision, and fixing it to deeper tissues with mattress stitches, additionally applying interrupted sutures along perimeter of flap, skin flap is tightly pressed with aseptic bandage.
EFFECT: method enables eliminating reverse epicanthus, compensating for skin deficiency in the inner corner of the eye, and obtaining a high cosmetic result.
