FIELD: foundry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry and can be used for painting metal moulds intended for casting aluminium alloys. Separation coating for casting metal moulds includes a filler containing iron (III) oxide, a binder in form of liquid glass and water, wherein filler additionally contains titanium, cerium, zirconium or hafnium silicate, at the following ratio of components, wt.%: iron (III) oxide and titanium, cerium, zirconium or hafnium silicate – 10–20; liquid glass – 10–15; water – balance. In the filler, the ratio of iron (III) oxide to titanium, cerium, zirconium or hafnium silicate is 0.5:1.5.
EFFECT: coating has high values of sedimentation resistance and covering power.
