TRANSLINGUAL NEUROSTIMULATION DEVICE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61F9/08 A61N1/00 G01C3/00

Abstract RU 2820399 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: present technical solution relates to medicine, namely to a device for translingual data transmission. Disclosed is a wearable device for translingual data transmission comprising: a control unit comprising a processor, a memory unit, a wireless communication unit, power supply unit; lidar cameras, which are a software and hardware module with a function of scanning the surrounding space and generating a signal representing a depth map of the surrounding space; a processing unit configured to convert the signal from the lidar cameras into a sequence of electrical pulses and transmit them to a mouthpiece placed in the oral cavity; wherein the mouthpiece comprises a processor and an array of electrodes consisting of pixels, where each pixel has at least two contact pads configured to transmit electrical pulses to the surface of the user's tongue.

EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the effectiveness of the correction of the restoration of lost motor skills during the rehabilitation of the patient; in addition, the disclosed solution provides an alternative method of perceiving visual information transmitted to the brain through the TLNS and based on the principle of sensory substitution, which is realized through a neuroplasticity effect.
