FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: use for ultrasonic non-destructive testing. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that ultrasonic vibrations are introduced into the article by means of a piezoelectric transducer and reflected vibrations are received, and between the emitting surface of the prism and the surface of the article, a contact liquid is applied, wherein during the inspection, the emitting surface of the prism is pressed to the surface of the article, wherein longitudinal ultrasonic waves are emitted using a direct combined piezoelectric transducer, installed by means of threaded connection on replaceable inclined prism from polymer material with low attenuation of ultrasonic waves, wherein front surface of replaceable inclined prism is made in form of cylinder part with height of not less than two diameters of piezoelectric plate of direct converter installed on it, design of the replaceable inclined prism provides the angle of input of longitudinal ultrasonic waves between the first and second critical angles, as applied to the materials of the controlled article and the inclined prism, and for acoustic contact between surfaces of direct transducer and replaceable inclined prism contact liquid with low attenuation of ultrasonic waves is used.

EFFECT: high sensitivity during ultrasonic inspection.
