FIELD: ultrasonic inspection.
SUBSTANCE: pulse ultrasonic oscillations are irradiated into article by acoustic unit of flaw-detecting apparatus. Electro-acoustic converter of imitator at backside of article receives the oscillations. Received oscillations are detained for preset value. Synchronized pulse detained for the same value, triggers pulse oscillator which imitates echo-pulses, amplitudes of which pulses can be adjusted by means of amplitude regulator in proportion to equivalent area of modeled defect. Electric oscillations formed by pulse oscillator enter article. After that acoustic unit of flaw-detecting device receives them. Electric oscillations formed by pulse oscillator enter second imitator converter. When imitating defects, detected during inspection process by direct ultrasonic beam, delay time t of delay line is chosen within limits T-2th≤td≤T, where T is flaw-detecting device probing pulse repetition period, th is propagation time of ultrasonic oscillations through height (thickness) of article.
EFFECT: improved reliability of inspection; improved productivity.
