SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thoracic surgery, cardiosurgery. Pericardial defect is closed with a continuous suture with Vicryl 1/0 absorbable suture on a non-traumatic needle. Mesh is formed by double through threading in the longitudinal and transverse directions with pitch of 2 cm and formation of mesh cells with area of 4 cm2.
EFFECT: method provides effective closure of the extensive pericardial defect, protects against dislocation and dislocation of the heart and does not cause restrictive changes in the pericardial cavity, does not cause severe complications, is simple and cost-effective.
