FIELD: electroplating equipment.

SUBSTANCE: bath contains (i) at least one source of zinc ions; (ii) at least one triazole derivative, (iii) at least one first derivative of polyethylene glycol having the general formula R4-[O-CH2-CH2]n-O-R5, in which n is in the range from 2 to 200; R4 is selected from a group consisting of linear or branched C1-C18-alkyl, 4-nonylphenyl, and linear or branched C1-C18-alkyl having a carboxyl group; R5 is selected from a group consisting of -CH2-CH2-CH2-SO3Z, -CH2-CH2-SH, and tosyl, with Z being a monovalent cation such as a potassium, sodium, or ammonium ion; and (iv), in the case of a electroplating electrodeposition bath of a zinc-nickel alloy, at least one source of nickel ions.

EFFECT: technical result is improved electrodeposition characteristics at low local current densities and, accordingly, improved uniformity of the coating thickness, in particular, on substrates of complex shapes and/or when applying electrodeposition on racks and in reels, and, in addition, reducing or preventing air burns in areas with high current density.
