FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention is intended for multichannel radio engineering systems with functionally connected channels, for example, phase direction finders. In the coherent reception method, a signal from the input of a multichannel radio system, selected as a base, and it, which is phase-shifted by 90 degrees, is mixed with signals from the remaining inputs in two groups of balanced mixers. Any input of a multichannel radio system can be used as a base input. Signals at heterodyne inputs and radio-frequency inputs of mixers always have the same frequency. Amplitude-phase characteristic of the receiver contains cosine and sine components of the phase difference between the base and other inputs.

EFFECT: possibility of coherent reception of radio signals in a wide frequency band without readjustment of the device and use of significant computational resources.
