FIELD: mining; testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of PDC drill bits, namely to input quality control of PDC cutters. Device comprises a drive, a measuring unit, a mandrel, a data collection system, a computer and software for processing, monitoring and storing experimental data, diamond cutting disc with a mandrel, which allows fixing the disc in the drive chuck and excluding the possibility of the cutting disc bending under the action of the axial load, and the mandrel for the PDC cutter fixation is made so, that the PDC cutter fixed in it is located relative to the counter-sample plane at an angle similar to the PDC cutter location angle in the drilling bit to the bottomhole surface. Device additionally contains a cooler of the measuring unit, the mandrel of the diamond cutting disc contains an additional retainer, and the base, the table and the spindle assembly are additionally connected with a coupler.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the results obtained from testing PDC cutters for abrasive wear.
