FIELD: test equipment.

SUBSTANCE: test cylinder and method of superhard component test. Test cylinder includes first end, second end, and side wall running from the first end to the second end. At least one element out of the second end and side wall is exposed to contact with superhard component to determine at least one parameter of the superhard component. Exposed site includes at least one synthetic material with at least one parameter out of compression strength of ca. 12 kpounds/inch² to ca. 30 kpounds/inch² for unlimited compression, abrasivity of ca. 1 Cerchar to ca. 6 Cerchar, and iron content of ca. 5% to ca. 10%.

EFFECT: possible reproduction of test cylinder and test for different types of cutting tools.
