FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: patients with dry eye syndrome with underlying meibomian gland dysfunction are prepared for corneal reconstructive interventions. Before the planned reconstructive intervention, three procedures of transdermal light-pulse therapy are performed on the apparatus "Lumenis M22" with an interval of four weeks. Energy parameters are selected individually for each patient using Fitzpatrick scale classification, and each procedure of the transdermal light-pulse therapy is performed in the "Skin treatment" mode, affecting the skin of the forehead, cheeks, nose in two stages with a break for the time of filter change. First step involves two successive face skin treatments using 590 nm filter. Second stage involves two successive treatments of facial skin using a filter with wavelength of 560 nm. Each procedure is followed by a massage of the eyelid edges.
EFFECT: method enables improving the results of the corneal reconstructive intervention, reducing the postoperative recovery time, reducing the rate of postoperative complications.
