FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: tear substitution therapy is accompanied by the exposure to ultraviolet light generated by a polychromatic flash-light apparatus. The exposure makes 10 flash pulses covering the skin within an inner side of shoulders in a projection of brachial artery daily. The therapeutic course makes 8-10 procedures, twice a day every 6 months. On completing the course of physiotherapeutic procedures, the tear substitution therapy is continued with a number of instillations decreased to 1 or 2 times a day.
EFFECT: method enables increasing the tear production by normalising the haemodynamics of greater lachrymal gland and improving the conjuctival microcirculation, immunostimulating and anti-inflammatory effect of ultraviolet light.
