SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the tobacco industry, in particular to wrapping a sheet around a group of segments of a smoking article. Wrapping device for sheet wrapping around group of segments includes wrapping conveyor containing conveyor surface for arrangement of group of segments. Contact element forms a counter-surface located at a distance from the conveyor surface of the wrapping conveyor. Counter surface faces the conveyor surface of the wrapping conveyor. Counter surface is made with possibility of engagement with group of segments and sheet during movement of a group of segments along a counter-surface by a wrapping conveyor with provision of rotation of a group of segments for wrapping a group of segments with a sheet. At least the first part of the contact element, comprising at least the first part of the counter-surface, is formed from the first material, which is an elastic material having Shore hardness from 30 A to 70 A. Second part of the contact element contains the second part of the counter-surface and has elastic properties different from the properties of the first part of the contact element. First part of the contact element and the second part of the contact element are arranged with possibility of contact with the group of segments in different positions.
