FIELD: control and measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrumentation, particularly, to devices for non-contact method of measuring diameter of movable plastic products, for example, filament for 3D printers, trimmer lines, medical tubes, etc. Optical device for measuring the diameter of movable articles comprises point light source (1), for example, SMD LED KA-3528, optically connected to multi-element photodetector line (3), for example TCD1304AP, through collimator (2) and movable article (7), comparator (4), for example LM311, and microcontroller (5), for example AT91SAM7S64, wherein the output of the multi-element photodetector line is connected to the first input of the comparator, the second input of the comparator is connected to the first output of the microcontroller, second output of microcontroller is connected to input of multi-element photodetector line, third output of microcontroller is connected to point light source, first input of microcontroller is connected to output of comparator, wherein it additionally includes colour sensor (6), for example TCS34725, which is optically connected to the movable article, and the output is connected to the second input of the microcontroller, the fourth output of the microcontroller is the output of the control signal FSTEP for the stepper motor driver.
EFFECT: design of an optical device for measuring the diameter of movable transparent, opaque and coloured plastic articles.
