FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of rolled metal, namely to cleaning from process lubricants, and can be used in cleaning cylindrical long products, in particular pipes, wire and rods after cold rolling, drawing, before application of various types of coatings, as well as for surface finishing of articles. Proposed method comprises the following steps: product is passed through toroidal chamber equipped with outlet nozzle, flow of washing water solution and compressed air are supplied to toroidal chamber, gas-liquid flow turbulence is created in the outlet nozzle and a pulsating gas-liquid flow is supplied to the cleaned outer surface of the article with the formation of hydrodynamic cavitation on the cleaned outer surface of the article, wherein for formation of pulsating gas-liquid flow and hydrodynamic cavitation on cleaned outer surface of article gas-liquid jet speed is varied by feeding water solution by continuous flow at constant pressure and simultaneous pulse supply of compressed air with constant frequency within range of 1 to 20 Hz.
EFFECT: improving the quality of product surface cleaning and increasing process productivity.
